Welcome to the DC Clinical Trials Unit
Welcome to the DC CTU!
Uniting two clinical research sites right here in Washington, DC, the DC CTU is designed to address the HIV epidemic in the nation’s capital through cutting edge clinical and behavioral health research studies.
The CTU is comprised of two Clinical Research Sites (CRS):
The Whitman-Walker Institute is a part of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), and
The George Washington University is part of the HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN).
In concert with the NIH-funded networks, the DC CTU strives to implement cutting-edge HIV research in the DC metropolitan area. The DC CTU fosters new opportunities for HIV research by providing forums for collaboration between institutions and researchers and expanding opportunities for HIV prevention, treatment, and cure science in the nation's capital.
