Joint CAB Meetings
The DC CTU sponsors three Community Advisory Boards. Each CAB aims to increase community input from individuals whose identities and experiences are centered in HIV research. The mission of the Community Advisory Boards is to integrate community involvement in the Clinical Research Sites (CRS) in order to advance HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C research.
As a research collaboration between George Washington University and Whitman-Walker Institute, the DC CTU bridges the efforts of HIV prevention and treatment research in DC under one umbrella, enabling both institutions to work together for a coordinated approach to HIV research in the DC area. The Community Advisory Boards affiliated with the two organizations meet jointly to collaborate on projects meaningful and relevant to both CABs. While sustaining separate entities and purposes, the two CABs come together and build community partnership in support of the DC Clinical Trials Unit (CTU).
In the future, we will post event agendas and accompanying materials (such as presentations and other resources) below.
